THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer league resumes this week after a one week break with Bulawayo Chiefs going head to head with WhaWha FC at Luveve Stadium on Sunday.

Four points out of possible 24 and an eight-match winless run is what Chiefs will want change when they welcome their opponents on their home ground.

Their opponents are also enduring a sorry spell with just six points out of the possible fifteen. However, they will be boosted by their shocking three nil victory over the league title contenders Chicken Inn in their last outing.

Both will be out demanding the three points at stake in order to solidify their positions in the PSL log standings. The two teams are not sitting comfortable in the standings as they are both outside the top ten with just three points separating the two sides.

Chiefs have seen themselves going down the ladder to 13th position with 11 points on the league table, things could have been better than this given the perfect start they had to the season.

On the other hand, it has not been an ideal start to the season for WhaWha who have been always rooted in the bottom 3 for the most part of the season.

With Chiefs fans expecting that Malvin Mkolo and his men will have a piece of cake on Sunday, they might have to think twice because WhaWha will throw everything that they have at the Ninjas.

Head Coach Nilton Terroso acknowledged the respect that his side has got for WhaWha FC.

“First of all we need to respect and definitely we cannot underestimate WhaWha like we will expect teams not to underestimate us, interms of where we are on the table at the moment”, said Terroso.

Terroso is fully aware about the threat that WhaWha possess and the ability to cause an upset.

“They are coming from a 3 nil win from a team that was at the top of the table, so we know that they are capable of doing good things”, said Terroso.

Amakhosi Amahle have managed to stay united despite a rough patch in the past few games. The squad is fully determined to turn things around when they clash with WhaWha this coming weekend.

“We are determined, we are confident and we are fully focused on going to get three points” added Terroso.

The battle ground has been set, Sunday has all the answers for the awaited encounter.
