Bulawayo Chiefs will be looking forward to getting back to winning ways when they travel to take on Mutare based outfit, Tenax FC, in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match.

The relegation threatened side will be hosting the Twitter Kings on Sunday afternoon at Vengere Stadium.

Having displayed splendid football on the pitch, the Portuguese head coach Nilton Terosso has rued the chances his side has failed to convert as they have been hit by a string of poor results.

“I feel ultimately as a team the quality of football that we play is very good. Against Chicken, especially in the first forty five minutes, I think we were exceptional”

“The way we move the ball, our rotation, dynamics, getting forward and creating opportunities. We have been consistent in that. The problem is we have been consistent in not converting our opportunities, not scoring. And not killing the games”, said Terosso.

One of the team’s best performances this season came against FC Platinum in the second leg, although the game ended unfavourable with Platinum scoring a last minute winner.

Terosso has however encouraged his lads within the camp to remain focused as the season progresses and to stick to game plan as there is hope results will come soon.

“Every time you lose its about making sure that the belief is continuous and that players still understand what we are doing and how we are doing in order to achieve”, said Terosso.

Sunday afternoon clash comes at a time when both teams need the three points to nurse the rough phase they have been going through in the past few games.

Tenax’s last win came against league contenders Chicken Inn FC, whilst the Ninjas recorded a win against Yadah FC.

Amakhosikazi are set to continue with their fine form when they take on Lobengula City on Saturday at New Lobengula Rugby Ground. Agent Sawu and his young Ninjas host High Flyer at home this Sunday.

There is hope going into the weekend’s fixture as Bulawayo Chiefs’ last win was recorded away against Yadah FC.
