NEWLY reshuffled Bulawayo Chiefs technical team has shown glimpses of greener pastures ahead as the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season progresses.

Spearheaded by Nilton Terroso, the technical team has reappointed their former clan shepherd Thulani ‘Toots’ Sibanda as an assistant coach.

Terroso and Sibanda have somehow managed to steer the ship from showing signs of sinking in the recent league games. They have managed to maintain an unbeaten run in the past two games.

Their first assignment against Ngezi Platinum at Luveve Stadium saw them sharing spoils in a one all draw. In a game that Chiefs might have bagged the three points, Ngezi managed to salvage a point in the dying minutes of the game.

The Manica Diamonds task awaited the Terroso led technical team at Sakubva Stadium where they played out a stalemate draw but displayed immaculate performance that afternoon.

The two draws in a row came as a light at the end of a tunnel for Chiefs as the points tally was now drying up for Amakhosi Amahle.

Amakhosi Amahle have shown promises in their last two games, which they would like to invigilate their performances coming out with desired results.

Having experienced the rough patches of the season in recent games, the major theme of the technical team is to get back to the team right back on track for the upcoming games.

‘Toots’ believes that working hand in glove with Terroso is a blessing for the club because he is highly knowledgeable, they both understand the value and the culture of the club.

“He is someone who is very knowledgeable when it comes to football. You can analyse the training sessions that are there and analyse everything that he has done at Bulawayo Chiefs. Of course the results have not been coming but we have to acknowledge that results willcome, it’s a process” said Sibanda.

After being out of action this weekend for Easter holiday, Chiefs are set to lock horns with Whawha FC at Luveve Stadium this Sunday.

The blades of grass of the local stadiums will determine the fate of Chiefs technical team as the game of football will display what it has in store come match day.
